Senator Enoh condemns communal conflict in C-River

By Emma Una

CALABAR—SENATOR John Enoh, the senator representing Central senatorial district of Cross River State, has condemned the communal violence that rocked Akparabong and Bendege Ekiem, his hometown, weekend, which led to loss of lives.

Senator Enoh, who spoke with Vanguard on telephone, said that the violence between the two sister communities was unfortunate, senseless and unnecessary blood letting coming at a time when people should be concerned with how to survive the recession in the country.

“These two communities have lived together for centuries without engaging each other in such barbaric hostilities and this is coming at a time people should be making concerted efforts to live together and plan on how to reposition the state,” he said.
