Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State have been urged to embrace party discipline and loyalty.
The PDP Chairman, Delta North Senatorial District, Chief Moses Iduh, and Executive Director, Social Services Development, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, gave the charge at a reception held by Ochor for the new members of the executive in the area.
Speaking on the topic, “Party Administration, Discipline, and Party Loyalty”, Iduh called on the new executives to be good administrators, be disciplined and loyal, as they were key to the success of the party in the area during their tenure.
“You have been given the huge responsibility to administer the party in the LGA for the next four years, it is a task which you must not be found wanting in anyway,” he said.
He called on them to manage and accommodate the different groups in the party, a task he said would not be easy.
He asked members to embrace the party administrative system and avoid the pitfall of attaching themselves to individual party leaders, and called on the Discipline Committee of the party in the area to be thorough in deciding the fate of erring members.
Earlier, Ochor urged unity within the rank and file and support for the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
