Nnewi—Abia Renaissance Front, ARF, a pro good-governance and transparency in government group, has called on the people of Abia to continue to pray for the success of Dr Uche Ogah, in the ongoing court battle towards becoming the state governor.

In a statement issued in Onitsha by the national coordinator of ARF, Chief Amaechi Ukoro, the group said, “The glory of God is hovering over Abia State and Abians should rejoice with the coming of the governor-elect, Dr Uche Ogah”.

According to ARF, “Abia State with Dr. Ogah as governor will have many things to thank God for because he does not have any godfather that will be dictating for him on how to govern the state like the former governors of the state.

“Dr Ogah as a very humble man and will manage the resources of the state prudently and would clear all the debts from 2007 while the civil servants in the state will smile and thank God for his miracle.

“Dr Ogah will not have any political enemy due to his background and what he has been doing for the state and its citizens in generating employment with his numerous industries. As a tested and trusted son of the state, he will not mismanage the state funds.”

ARF assured Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abia state that “with Dr Ogah as the Governor, the party will wax stronger than before and sing with one voice, just as it will be a house hold name in the state, and bring dividends of democracy to the people of the state”.

“Dr Ogah has many connections to develop our state, as his numerous business friends and foreign donors and investors will come for investment in the state, while industrialization will be encouraged in the state having proved a successful man in that area of the economy in the state and in Nigeria”
