My structure lies in my goodwill — Ize-Iyamu

By Emmanuel Aziken, Political Editor

Leading PDP aspirant, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has dismissed claims that he lacks the required structure needed to win the primaries on account of the fact that he returned to the party only two years ago.

Dismissing the claim in an interview with newsmen, Ize-Iyamu said his focus and goodwill with the people were the advantages working for him.

He said: “I have a clear blueprint, I know where I am going, and that is why I have brought a detailed roadmap.  Somebody asked me, Pastor, everybody is worried about your structure, what is the secret about the political structure that you have?

“But I now explained to them that what they call structure is good will. I have goodwill in every part of the state, a friend of mine just came back from America this morning, he is coming with a load of souvenirs. Every place I go to in Edo, I have friends. I was in Edo Central just three or four days ago, to my surprise, I saw vehicles branded in my colours, I don’t know the owners, they did not even come to me to ask for permission or to even tell me this is what we are doing for you, but I just saw vehicles already branded, I counted at least five branded in my colour.

“So the structure I have is the goodwill as somebody who has lived with the people, somebody they know, and somebody they trust, somebody who is accessible to them and that is what I am carrying into this election.”
