The Kebbi State Director of Sharia, Alhaji Abubakar Lamne, on Wednesday, in Birnin Kebbi, said that the government had established 67 Ramadan feeding centres in all the 21 local government areas of the state.

Lamne, who did not mention the amount spent on the programme, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He explained that three centres were established in each of the 20 local government areas, while Birnin Kebbi has seven centres.

“The state government released food stuff for the 67 centres for feeding of people in all the 21 local government area across the state,” he said.

He called on the chairmen of the committee on feeding in each local government area to ensure equity and fairness in the distribution of the items.
