CALABAR—CHRISTAIN leaders in Central senatorial district of Cross River State under the aegis of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, have risen against the continued killings in the district in the communal conflicts currently raging in the area.

In a communiqué in Calabar after a three-day marathon meeting, the Christian leaders said human  life was  sacred and the continued killings of people  and destruction of property in communal conflicts by so-called combatants was unacceptable to God and man and should therefore, be put to a stop  immediately.

“The recent negative developments beginning with the Inyima/Adun crisis, followed by the Mkpani/Nko conflict which is still raging and the unprovoked attack on businesses and their owners on May 17, in Ugep leading to  wanton destruction of lives and  property are all acts against God and man which are unacceptable and should be stopped immediately,” they said.
