The waiting game on Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia’s Edo Mass Movement, EMM seems to be reaching a climax. The EMM had earlier expressed its determination to produce an aspirant to win the governorship ticket of any of the major political parties.

The EMM according to sources had in fact worked out an arrangement that should its plans to use any of the major parties fail that it would collaborate with the Social Democratic Party, SDP or the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA to actualise its ambition. The resort to SDP it was understood was not unconnected with the influence of Alhaji Usman Shagadi, a major political leader in Edo North.

The group inside sources reveal, is to make its intentions known on June 8.

The EMM’s decision to reveal its intentions comes against the background of allegations that some leaders of the APC have vainly sought to get Ogbemudia to resolve the crisis in the APC triggered by differences between the governor and a number of the leading aspirants.
