By Godfrey Bivbere

Managing Director of Tentpeg Communications Network Ltd., Goddy Oghenejakpor, has warned leaders of the West and Central African countries of the loss of the sub-region’s implementation of Ports States Control, PSC, through its body, Abuja MoU with the resignation of the Secretary General.

Mfon Ekong Usoro, the Secretary General of the Memorandum of Understanding on PSC for West and Central African region known as Abuja MoU, recently resigned her appointment from the sub-regional body.

Oghenejakpor explained that the body was ineffective and almost non-functional before the appointment of Usoro, stressing that the former boss of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, was able to rally the support of member countries to make it functional.
