Stylist in court for abducting 14-year-old girl
A 23-year-old lady, Boluwatife Adewale, who abducted a 14-year-old girl, was on Wednesday brought before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos Adewale, a stylist, who lives at Ikotun area of Lagos, is facing a charge of abduction. The prosecutor, Sgt. Jimah Iseghede, told the court that the offence was committed between September and November at Abule-Egbeda area, a suburb of Lagos.

Three arraigned for allegedly raping 17-year-old girl
An Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday remanded three accused persons- Biola Akinwande, 18, Ayoola Awodile, 25, and Sodiq Oyedele, 19, docked for allegedly raping a-17-year-old girl. The prosecutor, Cpl. Ronke Badmus, told the court that the accused persons committed the offence on Nov. 22 around 2:00 p.m. at No. 29, Oke-Atan st. Ile-Ife.

The Nigeria Governors Forum recently expressed worries that more states may not be able to pay workers salaries if the revenue of the country continues to be on the decline. The NGF, through its chairman, Governor Abdul’aziz Yari of Zamfara, said “the situation is no longer the same when we use to pay N18, 000 minimum wage when oil was 126 dollars; now oil price is 41 dollars.”
