Ado-Ekiti-Professor Samuel Oye Bandele has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of the state owned University by Ekiti state Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose.

National Association of Cattle Breeders (Miyyetti Allah) has applauded the efforts of Nigerian army and other security agencies for arresting cattle rustlers in many parts of the country. The national vice president in charge of Northwest, Alhaji Ya’u Haruna stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Dutse, Jigawa state capital shortly after the dissolution and constituting of electoral committee of the Association in the state.

Following the arrest of the brains behind the October 2, 2015 bomb blasts in Kuje and Nyanya which left 20 persons dead and 41 others injured, the Police in Abuja have arraigned five of the suspected terrorists in court. According to a statement from Force Headquarters, the five suspects were arrested at Karamajiji Village, behind National Military Cemetery along Airport Road, Abuja and dangerous bombing tools which include I-pad, Laptop and Phones believed to be used as materials for making bombs were recovered from them.
