Lil Kem

Obieze Nkemjika Anokwuru a.k.a Lil Kem is not like the average 19-year-old boy who is only interested in sagging his pant trousers to look cool and attract girls; he is doing everything possible to be recognised as one of the hottest music artistes in the country.
Speaking on how his music career took root, Lil said, “I loved singing church songs from an early age. I love composing music, and singing for people to make them feel happy.
That’s what motivates me every day to keep going and never relent. I got my stage name from my middle name Nkemjika and that is Kem and since I’m young I added lil to it.”
According to the young dude, he would like to work with artistes such as Wizkid, 2face, Davido, Olamide, Chris brown, Rihanna, among others. He credits his mom as his major source of inspiration.
In his words, “I get my inspiration from my mom. I want to be successful like her. She wasn’t born rich. She worked really hard for me and my younger brother and that’s what keeps me going always.”
He cites schooling in New York where he is studying Business Administration as his greatest challenge because he can’t move around for shows, and attend interviews. Some of the talented act’s songs include “Catching Cruise,” “Juju,” “Kpariwo,” and a mix-tape titled, ‘Discovered Dream.’ The video for ‘Kpariwo’ is currently enjoying favourable airplay across the country.
