ILORIN—Former acting National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje has warned aggrieved leaders of the  party against challenging the emergence of Dr Bukola Saraki as the Senate President because of the consequences of such action on the party.

Baraje who spoke with news men in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Tuesday during the graduation  of 171 students of Baraje Centre for Arabic and Islamic Studies, noted that the warning became necessary because Saraki’s emergence followed due process.

According to him,’‘The process was legal; there was no breach of any rule of the National Assembly, NASS and the NASS is not dependent on government.”
