Former Golden Eaglets star, Isaac Success has declared himself fit and ready to play for the Nigerian Under-20 team at the FIFA World Cup in New Zealand.

It was reported that Success had picked an ankle injury, but it was revealed by his manager Dominic Egbukwu that the player is eager to join his colleagues in Germany as they train for the World Cup starting in June. “Isaac Success does not have any injury. The report is false. He couldn’t play against Getafe because of a slight fever.”

“He has resumed training and will play the next match if he’s selected by the coach.

“If Granada are sure of escaping relegation in the next two games, he will join the Flying Eagles. He has a Spanish residence permit and doesn’t need a visa to Germany,”said Ebgukwu

Meanwhile Flying Eagles assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade,  said the team will be well prepared for the tournament as they continue with their camping in Germany.

“We hope to prepare both physically, technically, tactically and most importantly psychologically.” The former Golden Eaglets captain explained that the trip to Germany will hugely expose some of the players who were not acquainted with international football as well as boost their focus and readiness.

“Because most of them have not travelled out before, this is good opportunity for them.

“We must use Germany to concentrate very well and use all the facilities available to build so that we can have the capacity to deliver.

“For us to succeed in New Zealand and bring back home the World Cup, we need to be very strong and capable to deliver. “We know it is not going to be easy but the task is great having the opportunity to go out and concentrate more,” he concluded.
