UMUAHIA — THE ruling PDP in Abia state said that the failure of President Goodluck Jonathan to win the last presidential election would not have any negative impact on the fortunes of the party in the state.

The party said that it would rather spur it to work harder to ensure that it retains power in Abia.

The deputy director, media, of the party’s campaign organization, Mr. Kinsley Emereuwa said that the party has overcome the shock of the loss and was on ground to ensure that the party wins the election.

“Rather than the unfortunate incident has negative impact on the party in Saturday’s election, I strongly believe that it is going to spur the electorate in Abia to actualize what the candidacy of Okezie Ikpeazu stands for, that is equity.
