The Super Sand Eagles have missed participating in the Beach Soccer World Cup for the second consecutive time, following their 3-4 defeat to Senegal at the semi finals of the just concluded CAF beach soccer championship in Seychelles.

The Nigerian team then defeated Ivory Coast 10-1 in the third place match of the tournament, winning Bronze.

Meanwhile, a former FIFA licensed Referee, Dr Sule Manna has blamed the Sand Eagles failure to reach the world cup again on the Nigeria Football Federation, saying the the Country’s football administrators have not learnt from the past.

Manna said : “I was not disappointed by the performance of the team in its self, but the problem is that we don’t learn from history and particularly in football where pedigree seems to matter a lot. Its rather unfortunately that we don’t build on our past glories.

The former arbiter also argued there much Nigeria could learn from Countries with a rich history in aspects of Sports where it has struggled.

“ Senegal has been in that sport for quite a long time and have been very good. We should learn from some of those countries. Even when we could record a greater degree of success we just don’t seem to learn, we never learn to do the correct thing and that has been our bane for quite a long time.”
