PDP urges to court to set aside N10m debt judgment

LAGOS—An Ikeja High Court yesterday fixed February 16, 2015, to rule on an application by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seeking to set aside the court’s judgment, ordering it to pay a lawyer, Mr. Debo Adeleke, the sum of N10.5 million as professional fees.

The trial judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye fixed the date after hearing arguments from the PDP’s counsel, Mr. Chukwuma Nmesirionye, and Adeleke’s counsel, Mr. Onyegbena Thankgod.

Ipaye had on November 12, 2014, ordered Lagos State chapter of the PDP to pay N10.5 million as professional fees to a legal practitioner, Adeleke, and pay a N50,000 cost in favour of the claimant.
