LAGOS—All Progressives Congress, APC, has challenged the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega to be forthright in his decision in making sure that the February elections hold.
The party while calling on Nigerians to reject any proposal by any group agitating the postponement of the forthcoming general elections said, postponement of any sorts if allowed would lead to further unrest in the country.
During one of its campaigns in Agbowa area of Epe, Lagos State organised by a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Segun Olulade said the party reiterated that, Jega, will be writing his name in gold if he ensures the elections hold next month.
Speaking, former Lagos State Assembly speaker, Jokotola Pelumi said postponement of the February elections is suicidal. “Giving all the indices, we can see that PDP is jittery. The party knows that APC is in the driving seat,” he said.
While urging youths to be law abiding during and after the elections, he said youths are most productive in driving the initiative of the party, adding that without them the party cannot move.
