Imoke preaches hope at New Year

Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State, has assured the people of the state that all ongoing projects undertaken by his administration will be completed before the May 29 handover date.

Imoke, in a New Year message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Ita, said that no project will be left uncompleted, adding: “All ongoing projects such as the Calabar International Convention Centre, CICC, the 18-Hole international Golf Course, the Ogoja township stadium, among others, will be completed and ready for use before May 29, 2015.”

Urging Cross Riverians to take the prevailing peace in the state into the New Year, Imoke said: “The year gone by might have shown a grim state of affairs, with stories of bloodshed, tragedy and human failures all around the world, but we in Cross River have enjoyed the peace for which we are known.”
