Akure—Former Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Ayo Agbonmuserin has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.

This is coming as the candidates of the APC in the House of Assembly and National Assembly resolved to work with those who contested with them and lost the primary elections.

Agbonmuserin who was the speaker of the state Assembly during the late Adebayo Adefarati’s regime before he joined the PDP said his coming back to the APC was like coming back home.

Agbonmuserin said he jumped ship because of lack of internal democracy and denial of justice in the ruling Party.

Agbonmuserin noted that but for an idea formulated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there will be no democracy in the country by now explaining that the idea of the former Lagos state governor made it possible to have an opposition Party- APC which will surely form the next government at the national level.

The chairman of the party in the state, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke while welcoming him assured the former lawmaker and his supporters of level playing ground.
