THE Police Assistance Committee, PAC, has called for peace between the Police and the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in the interest of the nation.

PAC made the appeal against the backdrop of a raging public issue between the Police and the NUJ, following the feud between a journalist, Mr. Amaechi Anakwe of the AIT and AIG Joseph Mbu in charge of Zone 7, Abuja.

PAC’s Director-General, Dr. Martins Oni, said it would not be in the interest of our democracy for such important institutions to be at loggerheads with each other.
