The problem of flooding at Ozoro community in Isoko North Local Government Area, which has destroyed houses and crops valued at millions of naira, will end if experts were consulted and drainage constructed.

Mr. Leo Ogor, Deputy Majority Leader, House of Representatives, represen-ting Isoko constituency, said this at a meeting with members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Isoko Correspondents Chapel, at Ozoro.

While urging the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs to intervene, Ogor attributed the flooding to the topography of the area and the construction of illegal buildings on drainage routes.

He also called on National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to send relief materials to victims of the flood.
