UNN workers’ unions despise VC’s litigation threat

ENUGU — THE three workers’ unions at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, have described as laughable plans by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bartho Okolo, to drag them to court for alleged libel.

The unions have also announced plans to shun every activity lined up to mark the end of Okolo’s administration by next month.
Chairmen of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, Comrade Ifeanyichukwu Abada, Comrade Geoffrey Ugwu and Comrade Paul Erua, respectively, who briefed newsmen, yesterday, chided Okolo for leaving substance to pursue shadow.
