Aluminum roofers and fabricators move to regulate sector

THE Association of Aluminum Roofers and Fabricators of Nigeria, AAROFAN, will soon enact a law that would regulates the activities of roofing and fabricating industry in Nigeria. The National President of the Association, Comrade Adeyemi Lukman disclosed this during the inauguration of the national executives of the association in Sapele, Delta State.

Lukman explained that it is now mandatory for members to register with the association as a condition for bidding for contracts. According to him, it is now a criminal offence for any member to carry out roofing and fabricating works without being registered with the association.

The AAROFAN president further hinted that the association will make the laws available to both the Federal and State governments with a view to getting their support and recognition for effective and proper management of the industry in Nigeria. National executives inaugurated at the event include, Comrades Adeyemi Lukman, President; Simon Edegwa, Vice President; Denis Aniokuzu, Secretary; Osagie Osakpanwan, Assistant Secretary; Oghenemobore Whiskey, Treasurer; Teddy Okparaji, Financial Secretary and Akpoyibo Omas, Public Relation Officer.

Others are, Lucky Owhowhiabene, Organizing Secretary; Lucky Owhojero, Chairman Task Officer; Stanley Ubhimhinye, Vice Chairman, Task Force; Osakwe Steve, Publicity Secretary and Benjamin Shakara as Provost.
