Nigeria champions Kano Pillars have appointed Okey Emordi as their new coach.

Pillars chairman Abba Yola said they have received approval from the Kano State Government for Emordi to lead the team for the forthcoming season.

“We wish to thank the government for approving the appointment of Okey Emordi as the new coach of Pillars,” Yola said.

“The coach will start work with immediate effect.”

Emordi and another former Pillars coach, Kadiri Ikhana, were interviewed for the top post.
