LAGOS — Lagos State Government, Tuesday, compensated five landlords whose lands were acquired by the government for the construction of the Dana Cenotaph in Iju-Ishaga, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of the state.

The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, has described the crisis rocking the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, “as God’s divine intervention to liberate the ordinary Nigerian from years of deprivation, repression and maladministration by a class that has held Nigerians captive.”

The erstwhile factional chairman of APGA, Chief Maxi Okwu surprised political watchers in Anambra State when he announced in Awka that Dr. Chike Obidigbo, one of the party’s governorship aspirants who could not make it at the screening level is the candidate of the party for the November 16 election.
