ABUJA—SENATE President, David Mark, yesterday, re-echoed his appeal to Boko Haram to give peace a chance in the country.
Mark, whose appeal came in the wake of latest killings of over 30 persons suspected to be members of a vigilante group, otherwise known as Civilian JTF, in Borno State, begged the perpetrators of violence and needless killings in Nigeria to make what he simply referred to as “a u – turn”.
According to him, the development is not only strange but absurd to the sacred tradition and culture of the Nigeria society.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Paul Mumeh, Mark reminded the harbingers of the unabated killings that nothing good could come out of evil deeds, insisting that “our culture and tradition respect the sanctity of human life”.
