Dragnet Solutions Limited has called for the institution of computer-based testing and e-recruitment in interview processes for recruitment by companies, as it rolls out drums to celebrate five years of existence.
Speaking at the 5th anniversary press conference of the company, Mr. Robert Ikazoboh, Managing Director of the company said the introduction of the latest technology of computer-based testing and online application system by the company will help eliminate the problems associated with such exercises.
He said that Dragnet which specializes in the design, development and implementation of people screening solutions can be deployed in a variety of uses covering both the workplace and the educational sector. “Before we came on the scene, the process of scholarship administration and matriculation test in the country was largely manual and therefore, very cumbersome.”
Continuing, he said, “We came in with the sole objective of transforming the ineffective processes with the deployment of technology in partnership with tested global players in the business. Today, the story has changed. Computer-based testing has simplified the process, reduced the margin of human errors in the collation and release of examination results.”
On scholarship administration, Ikazoboh said the company has worked with a lot of companies, particularly in the Oil & Gas sector to design an effective system through which processes of applying for scholarships are done via an application portal.
He said: “We have made a giant stride in scholarship administration. Before our intervention, different companies particularly in the Oil and Gas industry conducted various assessments for applicants.
Ikazoboh also noted that the e-recruitment landscape in the country has been positively impacted by the company’s pioneering efforts. “It was indeed a daunting task when we started out five years ago with a mandate to revolutionise the graduate recruitment process in the country. Remember the days of placing vacancy adverts in the newspapers and thousands of applicants would send their CVs through post. The recruiter will then spend weeks or months sifting through the pile of applications.
