Loral International Secondary School has concluded plans to start one year foundation (pre-degree) programme that would aid students’ admission to highly rated institutions abroad.
The Senior Principal of the school, Ezinne Maria Uzegbunam, disclosed this during the 17th graduation and prize-giving ceremony of the school, held recently at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Festac campus of the institution.
She said Loral is partnering with notable organisations to facilitate oversea admissions for its students. She noted that the partnership would open doors of admission for Loral students to prestigious academic institutions in Hungary, Malaysia, Canada, Ukraine, Belarus and other foreign universities.
The principal commended the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in the progress the school has recorded since inception.
Meanwhile, the school used the graduation ceremony to reward some students for their outstanding academic performance during the 2012 session. Okwara Chike and Okoroafor Chidera emerged overall best graduating students and best science students of the school – Igbesa and Festac campuses respectively.
Others were Nwadioke Ifeoma, Obidinma Kennedy, Osuji Joseph, Oporo Edumson and Adewuji Adeola, who was adjudged the best student in the WAEC/NECO 2011 examination. The school also awarded prizes to deserving teachers for their outstanding performance during the year
