Special Adviser to Governor Peter Obi on Parks and Markets in Anambra State, Chief Nwobu-Alor, has described his expulsion from APGA by Victor Umeh as illegal, vexatious, null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
According to him, the so called state executive of APGA is not elected by congress as required by constitution, but handpicked and installed by Victor Umeh. He added that the party’s constitution statedthat the executive was elected through ward local government and state congresses, saying for the past seven years, no ward, local government or state congress had been held, which meant that state executive of APGA did not exist.
He said: “It therefore has no powers whatsoever to sanction or expel any party member.
“Umeh simply ordered his illegal cronies to call a press conference and announce my expulsion to the world in order to impugn my integreity and that of Anambra State Governor”.
“I and my two colleagues are still members of APGA and will continue to be members until Victor Umeh is removed and the party restructured.” Therefore, the talk of expulsion by an illegal gang is a misnomer and a joke of the year.
