The source told Matinee that Fred Amata was dragged to court in September 2010 by his landlord, Pa I. Fadoyebo, who asked the court to help him repossess his house from the actor.

The landlord claimed that Amata owed arrears of  rent on the four-bedroom bungalow he was occupying at No 8, Razaq Balogun St. Surulere, adding that the rent had accumulated from October 2009 to September 2010.

The news went further to say that the judge did not order Fred to vacate the property like the landlord wanted, but told him to pay up his debts within fourteen days or face jail term.

Whether this is true is not our business because we do not know the reason behind our Celeb’s refusal in the first place. We advice our busy bodies to mind their business.

Tonto Dike’s baby fantasy!

There is a gist making the rounds that popular Nollywood actress; Tonto Dike is planning to have a child of her own. According to the gist, she wants a child of hers very soon, but that the only problem she is faced with is finding the man the cap fits to father her unborn child. Did I hear the men saying they are available to do the job.

Comedians form cliques too?

There is a rumour making the rounds that the  clique thing is the latest episode in comedy entertainment world. According to the gist circulating, the clique-thing is so bad that if you are not in one clique or group, you cannot perform in another cliques’s show.

The gist went further to say that the clique -thing is between AY and others in one group, Basket mouth and others and in another group and some other respective groups unknown. Matinee could not confirm whether this gist is true or not, but the gossip carrier should also form his own group in whatever business he is into and quit meddling.

BBN 2006, Joan Agabi in limelight again!

Matinee ran into Joan Agabi, one of the House mates in BBN, 2006 and she had this to say to us. Joan is an actress cum business woman with a catering outfit and a fantastic boutique on the Island.  She read Law at the University and is presently doing a program in Business Administration to build up her business empire.

I participated in (BBN) Big Brother Nigeria reality show in 2006. I went to the audition like everyone did; there was nothing extra to the audition as I saw.

I was shortlisted perhaps because of my personality. I guess I was preferred by the judges; hence I was picked for the competition.

At the time I went for BBN, I had just finished my diploma in Law and was waiting for my results.

Big Brother Nigeria opened a lot of doors and opportunities for me and my life changed. I have noticed that Big Brother Nigeria hasn’t featured since 2006 and I am wondering why.

But it would be nice to have another one anytime soon. I actually did my first movie in 2004 while I was still in Jos as a student.

I have done about a dozen movies and a few soaps. I would like to act along side a foreign actor and I do not mind acting with Johnny Depp. I cannot say l have had challenges in acting, but I have had challenges getting info on auditions and that hasn’t helped my career in acting.

After BBN, I noticed I got recognized everywhere I went, things have been easier for me I must say. At the same time, I have been very careful about the things l do. At the moment, I am acting and I am also working on expanding my boutique and catering outfit. I am from the middle belt, Benue state to be precise.  Joan Nguveren Agabi is my name.

I had a diploma in Law before BBN. I read Law because I love standing for what I believe in. At the moment, I am working on getting a degree in Business Administration to broaden my business sense. I do not think there’s enough space to tell all I wish to do before I am forty!  But in a nutshell, I wish to expand my business empire, be a better mother, sister and friend, encourage and help others.
