Owners of 100 houses that were blown off by the  February 28 rainstorm that ravaged Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government area of Oyo State now have a cause to smile as building materials worth over N1.5m are to be distributed to them.

This was disclosed by the senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Hosea Agboola in Otu.
When  Agboola who is the Senate Deputy Whip, was conducting on the spot assessment of the havoc caused by the storm, he expressed surprise at the extent of the destruction of  houses and worship centres.
He assured  the victims that aluminium roofing sheets, woods and financial aids would be sent to them soon.

While speaking during his visit to the Oniro of Otu, Oba Sunday Adepoju,  Senator Agboola said: “We heard of the incident and we are here to commiserate with the people of Otu community.

May the Lord grant you all the courage to bear the loss and provide speedy assistance to regain what you have lost. We will inspect the affected houses and provide all sorts of aids to the people in their attempts to repair the houses.”
