Prayers ‘ll expose criminal activities in A’Ibom – Akpabio

UYO — GOVERNOR Godswill  Akpabio, yesterday, identified efficacious prayer as a potent weapon through which criminal activities can be exposed in Akwa Ibom State.

Akpabio who stated this during Government House monthly inter-denominational prayer meeting at St. John’s Chaplaincy, Governor’s Lodge, Uyo, lauded the ministers of God for sustaining the prayer tempo.

He said: ‘’Due to the efficacious prayers by Akwa Ibom people, God has exposed various criminal activities in the state. I thank the ministers of God for sustaining the prayers which have encouraged and strengthened my administration.
’’Any evil against this administration would be exposed. I thank the security agents for rising to the occasion by ensuring peace in the state. With the help of God and the efforts of security agents, such crimes as kidnapping and robbery have been reduced to the bearest minimum because God would continue to reveal the works of the wicked. I call on our people to have courage in giving information to the police.
’’Some people turn around to hunt the governor on areas of insecurity. It was revelations through prayers that they were exposed. Government has made efforts in parading suspects and kingpins of kidnapping and killings in the state. So it was not out of place to come down here today and pray that God would continue to expose them and we must condemn crime in all its entirety.’’

Chairman of Government House Prayer Network, Venerable Cannon Antai in his homily acknowledged that favour comes from one man and radiates to communities, noting that some men in the society deserved respect because through the victory of Godswill Akpabio favour has come to Akwa Ibom State.
