Network security services provider, Cyberoam, last week said that in the wake of rising wave of hacking activities in the world, corporate organisations playing in the Nigerian environment should strive for adequate network security protection to be able to stay on top of their game.
The company at a party it organised in Lagos, to reward its loyal customers at the weekend, also argued that in most cases, the economic base of any IT-based company is being determined by the level of its security strength since a company could lose all it has worked for life if its system shows any sign of vulnerability and eventually compromised.
For the company, investment in world class security infrastructure has become the way forward for small and large business corporations wishing to play on long term basis. The company’s Manager in charge of Pre-sales, Mr. Kinjal Patel while addressing a large number of its partners at the customer reward night said that such infrastructures were available on Cyberoam stable.
“For instance, our UTM delivers enterprise-class network security with inspection firewall, and Virtual Private Network (VPN), offering the Human Layer 8 identity-based controls and Layer 7 application controls” he added.
According to Patel, the solution ensures high levels of network security, network connectivity, continuous availability and secure remote access with controlled network access to road warriors, telecommuters, partners, and customers.
He added that “with granular controls and advanced networking features, Cyberoam UTM appliances offer enterprise-class security and high flexibility with protection against blended threats, malware, Trojans, DoS, DDoS, IP spoofing attacks, spam, intrusions and data leakage.”
He also said that Cyberoam offers advanced Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) carrying thousands of signatures applicable with human and application layer policies to automatically detect and block intrusions, IM and P2P exploits, backdoor attacks and other malware. Cyberoam’s IPS carries HTTP proxy signatures and custom signature capability, offering customised protection to meet the unique security requirements of each organisation.
Cyberoam also offers advanced network security features to deliver business continuity, faster uptimes, higher network throughput, rapid network growth, meeting the security and regulatory compliance requirements through high availability; dynamic routing; virtual host capability, enabling secure hosting of services; centralised management and logging-reporting.
The Cyberoam UTM’s Layer 8 Technology treats user identity, allows administrators to uniquely identify users, control Internet activity of the users in the network, and enable policy-setting and reporting by username.
Some of the partners rewarded include: ATB Techsoft Solutions Limited; Cyberspace Network Limited; Coollink; Ha Shem Network Services Limited; Pacific solutions and technologies Limited; Reliance Infosystems; Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, among others. They were rewarded with cash gift for their continued patronage and loyalty to the brand, Cyberoam.
