Abuja-Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke, yesterday, collected the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship nomination form.

The form which costs N5.5 million was said to have been picked for him by one of his political aides.

PDP had earlier fixed the governorship election primaries in the state for April.

The PDP national organising secretary, Prince Uche Secondus, yesterday, said the congresses for the state executive would not hold because of the forthcoming election in the state.

It is expected that Imoke would contest the party’s ticket with two other aspirants; Dr. Patrick Okomiso and Ambassador Sunny Abang.

Vanguard gathered that Governor Imoke is expected in Abuja on Friday to return his EOI/nomination forms.
