The 2011 edition of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Lagos chapter SWAN Cup kicks off December 12 at the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos.

SWAN Cup is a five-a-side competition which attracts participation from various media houses in Lagos. It is a competition that brings out the best practical aspect of what the journalists profess most, particularly the sports writers who are always critical of footballers.

The last edition held in 2009 and Sports Day is the defending champion.

Chairman Lagos SWAN, Fred Edoreh said the revived competition would provide the best platform for unity, friendship and integration among journalists in Lagos. The completion ends December 17th.
