Oliseh and Keshi
Oliseh may be offered Flying Eagles job

A top Nigeria Football Federation Executive Member said yesterday that the modern way of constituting a technical crew was to allow the head coach choose his team and Stephen Keshi’s own would not be different.
The former Eagles captain who qualified Togo for the 2006 World Cup is favoured to succeed Samson Siasia if the Executive Committee today decides to adopt the recommendation of their Technical Committee.
After Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2012 Nations Cup the Technical Committee, in an October 13 meeting, decided that a clause in Siasia’s contract be respected. The clause says that the coach must take the team to, at least, the semifinal of the Nations Cup for which Nigeria did not even qualify.

And today, in Abuja, the Executive Committee will take a decision on the recommendations of the Technical Committee. Feelers from the body indicate that, save for a last minute change, they would ask Siasia to step aside. The matter will then be, again, referred to the Technical Committee to recommend a successor. That can be done today or as soon as possible.
“We are thinking of Stephen Keshi and if we do we will allow him to select his technical crew. That is the modern way. We will not impose anybody on him,”the member said.
Two other Executive members confirmed this and said that Sunday Oliseh, another one time captain of the Eagles may be advised to take over the Flying Eagles or the next Olympic team if he would accept the offers.
