EMBATTLED Eagles coach, Samson Siasia who is yet to come to terms with the reality of disappointing millions of Nigerians by not qualifying the country to the Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea has vowed never to give up on discipline.

“I’ll not compromise on discipline. If the opportunity comes up again for me to suspend Vincent Enyeamah or any other player for indiscipline, I will not wink twice to suspend such a player”, the man whose fate of remaining as Eagles coach hangs in

The fans had enveloped Siasia and his players chanting war songs and urging him to resign, some even taunting him an

d calling him names. “He looked up and whispered to me “such is life. These same people were hailing me before now. I understand. It is not their fault and I hold nothing against them. I feel pained more than them that we can’t be in the Nations Cup. My heart bleeds.

But they are right to insult me. I am the coach and I take full responsibility for everything”, he said as one man pointedly said in his hotel’; “you are finished. You deprived us of our joy.

Resign now!. You have killed us with your discipline on Vincent Enyeamah”. He shook his head in disbelief and whispered “I can give up everything but not discipline. I will do it over and over again. I feel bad”, he said as stones, cans of water and soft drinks drove him away soon after the match. He looked pitiable.

As he ran from cudgels, one other fan muttered; “that is the same Siasia that Nigerians hailed as a “Saviour”. Ah, no condition is indeed permanent”, he said as the surging crowd enveloped us.
