British Airways, BA,now has a new First Class cabin in all aircraft in its fleet, even as it has assured passengers of adequate comfort and convenience aboard flights.
Speaking to newsmen during the launch of the airlines’ First Class cabin at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, the airline’s Country and Commercial Manager in Nigeria, Mr. Kola Olayinka, noted that the introduction of the new cabin was in line with the demands of passengers, affirming that it cost BA about one hundred million pounds to put the cabin in place.
He pointed out that the present First Class cabin was quite different from the old one, and added that the seats and sitting arrangement were also different.
He said: “This cabin also has an in flight bar which is inexhaustible as well as other accessories that could entertain the passenger like watching movies with your own personal DVD and the likes.
“So the First Class Cabin is personalised and the crew here, they work with I-Pads, so when you are sitting down they already know you.
“The cabin avoids ostentatious gadgets and gimmicks and focuses instead on simplicity and quality. Every feature has been carefully considered and researched to ensure we are giving our customers what they want.”
Olayinka said.
He said BA had a unique selling point by ensuring that its’ passengers were well treated and comfortable aboard, adding that the focus of the airline was to enhance safety, security and convenience of it’s’ customers at all times.
He said: “Part of our promises to our customers is to ensure we operate a safe and secure flight operation from the point of boarding to the point of destination and our focus is mainly on safety because when you put your focus on safety you are reducing cost invested.
“So we focus on safety and we pride ourselves as one of the airline whose paramount focus is safety and security and that is why we are one of the best in the country and the world.”
