Factionalization: Borno IPMAN gets new management committee

THE lingering crisis bedeviling the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Borno state branch, which led to the factionalization of its leaders and members, has been resolved with the appointment of its new management who are to run the affairs of the association for the period of three years.

The resolution of the crisis was borne out of the reconciliation meeting which was attended by all the factions which took place over the weekend at the Maiduguri Depot Branch Office, Damboa Road.

In a press statement signed by the association’s Secretary – General, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mustapha in Maiduguri, the factionalized management committees have been dissolved with immediate effects. The new management Committee would be chaired by Alhaji Mohammed Kulima, while Alhaji Ado Gaya would serve as the Vice- Chairman.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other members of the Committee include Alhaji Abbas Yakubu, Treasurer, Alhaji Umar Abubakar, Finacial Secretary, Hon. Alifa Bukar Dikwa, Assistant Secretary, Mohammed Goni Tijjani, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Alhaji Sani Mele, Auditor, Alhaji Lawan Baderi, Legal Adviser and Alhaji Mairemi Modu will serve as the Organizing Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kulima thanked all members of the association for coming together and resolved all their differences, which is aimed at moving Borno IPMAN forward.

He said, he will do everything possible to uplift the association to a greater height, even as he promised to carry everybody alone in the cause of discharging his responsibilities.

He therefore enjoined all members to cooperate with the new management, as according to him, without cooperation, the new Committee cannot function appropriately, pointing out that his door will remain open for advice from any member of IPMAN
