Police in Borno said sus pected members of a radical Muslim sect have killed a lawyer and an employee of the state emergency management agency.

Borno state police commissioner Simeone Midenda said the attacks happened Wednesday night in Maiduguri, the city where the sect once had their main mosque.

Midenda said four gunmen armed with Kalashnikov rifles killed the two men at their homes. No arrests have been made.
