TOP telecom company MTN has announced that in a bid to provide telephone services for the rural segments of the country in a way that would solely benefit the rural based subscriber, the MTN Talk Talk Service will be launched soon.
This service allows customers in selected rural areas to make national calls and send SMS at particular discounted rates.
The announcement made by the company’s HR Learning Management disclosed that MTN Talk Talk is a location based service that allows only subscribers in rural areas strategically selected to enjoy the new packages.
Vanguard Hitech also learnt that the MTN Talk Talk won’t fall on daily or monthly data plans as it had been with the MTN Pay Go and Talk On plans.
All subscribers in selected rural communities need to do is buy the special MTN Talk Talk SIM pack and the package will be automatically activated.
The new Talk Talk has however not shut out existing PayGo and TalkOn customers. The company disclosed that subscribers to the two payment plans in these selected rural areas can migrate to MTN Talk Talk by texting 405 to 131.
The new discounted calls on this package will only be for MTN to MTN calls.
Current states booked to have the MTN Talk Talk plan includes Ekiti, Jigawa, Kwara, Niger, Ondo, Oyo, Bauchi, Ekiti, Kebbi, Kaduna, Kogi and Kano.
