THE Restoration Project 2012, a group under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, has urged the leaders of the party in the state to urgently address the problems which led to the poor results recorded by the party in the just concluded general elections with a view to do better in future elections.
The group in a statement signed by the coordinator, Mr Nosa Omorodion, stressed: ‘’Our leaders should begin to see beyond the desire for transient dominance.
The ultimate goal of our political fathers should be leaving legacies of equity and general generosity. On the other hand, now is the time for the followership of the party to wake up and become agents of change.
“ It is not enough to lament the mistakes of our leaders that led us to present quandary. This is the time to point the way out of the confusion which may have overwhelmed even the leaders.
Despite the remarkable impressions that the ACN government under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has made in Edo state, it is apparent that after almost three years the ACN is no better alternative to the eight years of Chief Lucky Igbinedion of which has become the PDP’s baggage.
“It is a fact that the people are still spellbound in the spirit of rebellion. Thus they may not be aware that underneath the golden layers are rush that portend a future collapse,” it stated.
