The Acting National Chairman who called on members, loyalists and supporters of the party nationwide to exercise caution even amidst the highest provocation, stressed that those involved in the unwarranted attacks do not wish the country well, adding, ‘their mission is to cast shadow on the elections that have been adjudged as free, fair, credible and transparent by many Nigerians including local and international observers.
“I therefore call on all peace-loving and well-meaning compatriots to rise up against the antics of these anti-democratic elements who do not wish the rest of us Nigerians any good. This ongoing democratic journey must not be allowed to be truncated by a wicked minority few. They must not be allowed to lord their whims and caprices over the majority. They should not be allowed to use violence to discredit this highly successful electoral process.”
Meanwhile, a member of PDP board of Trustees, BoT, Chief Ebenezer Babatope noted that it was unfortunate that some youths were being misled by misguided persons to cause mayhem, murder and arson in some States in the North over the Presidential elections.
According to Babatope, “It is sad that some youths are being used by certain misguided persons to cause mayhem, murder and arson in some States in the North over the Presidential Elections. These lunatic acts are reprehensible and condemnable.
