Operations in the Nigerian manufacturing sector received boost as operators have commended the federal government over its recent initiative in bailing out the manufacturing sector. A group under the aegis of National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA), has petitioned the Federal Government over the continued collection of the seven percent port development levy.
The group in a letter to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, dated 2 March, 2010, faulted the collection of the levy which an inter-ministerial committee had earlier recommended to be abolished.
