AKURE— ABOUT N14billion has so far been committed to various roads inherited by the Ondo State government and other on-going road projects within the last one and half years.

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State,  said this yesterday while debunking allegation by the PDP in the state that his administration had abandoned all the roads inherited from the Dr Olusegun Agagu led administration.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 2.25 Km NEPA-Arakale dualisation roads expected to gulp N2.8billion, including compensation to owners of 360 buildings and 980 traders,  Mimiko said all inherited road projects would be completed.

He said it was not true the statement by PDP that the present administration had abandoned roads they hurriedly inaugurated.

He said: “Let me reiterate that all on-going road contracts both inherited and awarded by this administration will be seen to completion.”
