FORMER Scribe of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Alhaji Sani Toro has called for the support of all Nigerians to aid the new Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia to excel in his new job

The former Bauchi state commissioner for sports and former member of the House of Representatives
equally advised Siasia to strive first and foremost to win the full support of the nation’s football authorities, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and all the stakeholders of the game to forge ahead in his new job.

Reacting to Siasia’s appointment, Toro said, “since the body concerned, NFF has made their choice in picking Samson Siasia as Eagles coach, all we need do is to give him ( Siasia) the much needed support for him to succeed so that our football can move foreward.

“We have to give him the benefit of doubt, he has achieved while in charge of the National Under-20 and Under 23 teams. If all the stakeholders including the journalists can give him the support, I don’t see him not achieving.

He has done it in the past. He has just been given the job and has not even started work, so it’s too early now to start smearing him with such thoughts that he cannot achieve..

“My advise to him is that first and foremost, he has to win the full support of NFF and all stakeholders, the technical committee of the body and the journalists, once he can do this he’s on the road to success”.
