Gov Orji congratulates Jonathan at 53

UMUAHIA —  ABIA State governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan who turned 53 years last Sunday, even as he described him as “God’s gift to the nation”.

Governor Orji, who spoke through his adviser on Electronic Media, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue, said the emergence of Jonathan as the president simply showed that “he is a man of destiny”.

He said President Jonathan’s  humble,  amiable and focussed disposiion would guide him well in directing the affairs of the nation.

Orji also commended the president for some of the major people-oriented achievements he had so far made, which include availability of petroleum products at affordable prices, efforts in bringing peace to the Niger Delta and accelerated power projects going on in the country.

Governor Orji also expressed optimism that with the president’s appointment of Prof. Attahiru Jega as INEC chairman and the support being given to the electoral body, 2011 elections would be credible.  He also urged the president to remain focussed and determined, in spite of the daunting challenges before him.
