The Village Head of Okoroba in Ikot Ansa, Calabar, Cross River State, Esinjo Francis Edet, has called on Police authorities to investigate and apprehend the mother of a day old baby, who was dumped in a garbage bin and left to die.
2011: Okogie urges INEC to amend time-table
he Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to amend the timetable for the conduct of 2011 general elections forward.
Okogie said at the second plenary session of Catholic Bishops’ Conference in Ijebu-Ode that the time-table released by INEC for the elections was too early for a free and fair exercise.
