Doctor kidnapped in Port Harcourt

By George Onah, Port Harcourt
Following the kidnap of a medical doctor, Princewill Obele, yesterday, in Port Harcourt his colleagues have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike if Obele is not immediately released by his abductors.

The seizing of Dr. Obele comes on the heels of the rescue from their kidnappers of two Russians by security men in Bonny Island, Rivers State.

The doctors said the health of Dr. Obele who was abducted in his home was in danger because “he has been denied access to his routine drugs”. However Police PRO Rita Inoma_Abbey (a Superintendent) said the command was yet to establish contact with those who took the physician.

“We have spread our dragnet to every corner of the state and we hope to round them up very soon”.
