We gave effect to Nigerian Content Act, says Brass LNG boss

Managing Director of Brass LNG Ltd, Mr. Vicenzo D’Lorenzo, has said the company pioneered the implementation of the Nigerian Content Act with deliberate steps taken by it to shore up the involvement of Nigerians in the compny’s operations.

Speaking at a forum the company facilitated in Port Harcourt to sensitise contractors on how they could key into the $10 billion project, D’Lorenzo said: “Even before the law was passed, we have completed 2.5 million-man-hours with 500 workers, 25 of whom were expatriates and the rest Nigerians”.

He said because the company was moving “very” fast in building the facilities at the Brass Island, Bayelsa State, site of the project, it had to train Nigerians in the proper way of doing business with them so that they could benefit and build capacity.
